The exhibition ZUCKER:ERBEN is dedicated to a piece of North Hessian history and the question of how it should be remembered in the future. After long research, eight artistic works by regional and international artists will come together in an exhibition in the summer of 2023.

As part of the exhibition, we will show the documentary film
Words of Negroes
FR 2021, Director: Sylvaine Dampierre, 80′

The screening will take place in the cultural space of the town of Wabern, in the old station building, right next to the smoking sugar factory, just in time for the start of this year’s beet campaign.

Director Sylvaine Dampierre will travel from France for the event.
After the film there will be an opportunity to talk to her.

The film will be shown in the original French with German subtitles. The discussion will be held in English and German.
