In the 1960s and 70s, Iran’s cities were culturally open and heavily influenced by the West. Googoosh was a pop music superstar. The documentary film tells the story of this remarkable artist.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the film-maker.

People with and without an international history, women with refugee experience, their families and anyone interested in excellent, often rarely shown international films directed by women are warmly invited to the programme.
