Sarah Duhamels spielte bereits als Kind auf der Theaterbühne in Rouen, später in Paris. Duhamel trat in ihren ersten Filmen bei Gaumont als Clown auf. Später wechselte sie zu Pathé Comica und entwickelte dort zwischen 1911 und 1912 mit Regisseur Roméo Bosetti die erfolgreiche Rosalie-Serie mit mehr als 32 Filmen.
