This year, we are focusing on a milestone for the independent film scene: the founding of the association Freie Szene Film Dortmund e.V. Thanks to the support of the Dortmund Economic Development Agency and the City of Dortmund&#8217;s Cultural Office, the association brings the local film scene to the attention of film enthusiasts and filmmakers with open-air cinemas in public squares, cinema programmes, workshops and network meetings.<\/p>\n<p>We are presenting a short film programme with six contributions by Dortmund filmmakers who move in the field of tension between the search for safe spaces and the conquest of new places. Above all, they express the desire for resistance, which is revealed in the films as a quiet, everyday action &#8211; a look, a movement, a refused word.
