They\u2019re 20, poorly educated, and looking for work. Three years after <strong>Les Arrivants<\/strong>, a film about the institutions that grant asylum, Claudine Bories and Patrice Chagnard take a similarly emphatic look at the lives of another marginalised group in their country.<br \/>\nThe film accompanies its six young, sometimes stoic, sometimes shy, but always strong protagonists on their search for work over a six-month period. They have all been told to enlist the help of a private job agency that will prepare them for the job market, but the job market has nothing to offer them. They\u2019re supposed to learn to behave properly, make the most of their appearance, and polish up their language. Ironic subheadings, such as \u00bbKevin rebels\u00ab, anticipate what will happen in the next part.<\/p>\n<p>Carefully edited from 150 hours of footage, the film uncovers the rules of today\u2019s job market: what doesn\u2019t fit is made to fit \u2013 or rejected.
