In her live drawing shows the film-maker, artist and performer Lisa Gornick combines her different professions: Lisa sits at a table, as if in her studio, with pens, paper, books, photos, phone. She then proceeds to tell and explore stories whilst drawing and playing music at the same time for illustration and embellishment. Her drawings are projected and her voice and the music are amplified to conjure up a sense of DIY cinema in real time.

Using her own experience as a maker and an audience of lesbian film, she turns that term inside out. This is a personal exploration of a term which inspires debate, heart ache but also connection and lust. Yes, things are left out but doesn’t that always happen in a lesbian film?

And sex: she even tries and constructs through pen and ink the ultimate luscious lesbian moment after perusing with the audience, moments we have already adored and gone back to again and again.

[289

117
420
post-18326","event","type-event","status-publish","hentry","movie_cat-performances-specials-en-2017","event_type-performance-en","festival-2017-en
