Shorts on Wheels is a cineastic cycle tour. We make several stops on our tour and turn urban spaces into movie theatres. Equipped with mobile beamer and sound system, we invite viewers to experience house facades, walls and back yards as projection screens outside the traditional cinema setting. Apart from wanting to create a unique experience that brings together cycling culture with the film scene, we want to be seen as a visible sign of sustainable urban life on the streets. In particular, we focus on places that are popular with the young, independent cultural scene.
\nShorts on Wheels is taking place for the eleventh time. In our hometown of Cologne, we seek shelter in the autumn during the Short Film Festival, in galleries and club rooms; in summer we show our programme in the open air. It\u2019s now spring here in Dortmund so we want to explore the city together \u2013 between industrial sites and green spaces. We will stop at four different places and show a short film programme that demonstrates the spectrum of short film production: from documentary and feature films to animated and experimental work. As a mobile cinema, we look forward to screenings in a new city.<\/p>\n
