Floria Sigismondi

Floria Sigismondi was born 1965 in Pescara, Italy, but moved as a child with her parents to Ontario. She works as a photographer and film director as well as making music videos – her creations being rated as style-setting for the genre. She had previously directed videos with David Bowie: Little Wonder (1996) and Dead Man Walking (1997). She first studied at Ontario College of Art & Design, subsequently took a photography course and graduated with photography major. Her photo works have been displayed internationally in both solo and group exhibitions. Die Gestalten Verlag, a German publishing house, has brought out two monographs featuring her work: Redemption (1999) and Immune (2005).
