»This is going to be a memorable event, orchestrated by me for you. Believe me, you will never forget this. Is this great? Never to forget, forever to remember … With your commitment, dear spectator, you will be transformed during this piece. Just let me first guide you a little!«
– Vika Kirchenbauer

In Please Relax Now, the spectators are no mere passive audience but part of the work itself. At least, Vika Kirchenbauer explicitly calls on the viewers to join in during the performance, posing in an original way the question as to the relationship between art and consumption anew.
